This is a self-initiated concept project fully created by me. I handled the complete UX strategy, feature planning, and UI design - including key functions like Scan & Go, Bill Split, Rewards, and Budgeting - and built the entire interface from scratch.

Details

Quick Cart is a “skip the line” mobile shopping app that changes the in-store grocery experience. Users can scan items as they shop and pay instantly in the app, avoiding checkout lines. Along with this core Scan & Go feature, the app also lets users split bills easily and enjoy a rewards program that offers unbeatable discounts, turning the payment process into a small celebration.

Project Insights

The biggest challenge is designing a flow that feels fast and natural while users shop and move around the store. The scanning experience must work smoothly even in low light or crowded aisles. Communicating trust, security, and accuracy in the UI without overwhelming the user is difficult. Bill splitting, rewards, and navigation also need to be simple so users don’t feel confused.
The goal is to make the interface look modern, fast, and easy to understand at first glance. The app should guide users naturally toward the scan button and important shopping actions. All cards, buttons, and icons should remain visually clear even in a supermarket environment with distractions. The UI must feel friendly, clean, and confidence-building for both new and regular users.
Use a clean layout with large, clear buttons and a strong visual hierarchy so scanning and checkout are effortless. Provide micro-interactions, tooltips, and animations that guide the user without interrupting the flow. Add real-time feedback (successful scan, item added, amount updated) to build trust. Simplify bill splitting with drag-and-select UI and make rewards feel exciting through badges, progress bars, and celebration screens.
